      Jessica & Jeff’s Wedding/Sneak Peak Part 1

Here are some of my favorite photos from Jessica & Jeff’s wedding from last weekend.  Their ceremony was held at the church were Jessica went as a child and was baptized Hosanna Luthern.  They celebrated with the reception at The Petroleum Club in Downtown Houston.  It was such a pleasure working with Jessica and Jeff.   She is such a doll and is super sweet.  You can tell Jeff is just absolutely smitten with her and it’s so adorable.  It was such a honor to be a part of their special celebration.  Jessica’s parents and my parents are neighbors, so it was really cool to be able to capture such precious memories for them.  Check back for more sweet shots of this wedding.

      Picture Perfect Honeymoon!

So, you might already know, but I’m a newlywed.  My honey and I just tied the knot last month.  We both wanted our honeymoon destination to have the following: crystal blue water, white sand, island hopping options, yummy tropical drinks and reggae music.  So, we decided on the Caribbean Island of  St. Thomas.  We stayed at the Ritz-Calrton and it really was as wonderful as everyone said it was.   It was so relaxing and just perfect.  I’m usually the one that loves an adventure, but after planning a wedding…this girl needed a break.   We did one excursion trip to island hop, which was so fun.  We rode the “Bad Kitty” from St. John and visited the BVI.  St. John is only a 20 min. ferry ride from Red Hook which is the east end of St. Thomas close to where we stayed.   The locals were super sweet and informative.  We even ran into a former Houstonian working at one of the bars there on St. John.  I can see why he escaped the hustle and bustle of the city life.  I could totally live out there.  It was so gorgeous!  I would love to go back and visit the islands again.  There was so much to see and do.  One of our guides told us they filmed the Corona commercials out there on one of the deserted islands.  I thought that was pretty interesting.  If you get a chance to go to the Caribbean….go island hopping.  It was so much fun!

      Jessica’s Bridals-Petroleum Club Houston

I’m so happy I can post these gorgeous bridal portraits of Jessica now.  She just got married this Saturday at the Petroleum Club in downtown Houston!  Congratulations to you and Jeff!  You made such a beautiful bride and made my job so much fun!  Jessica said she never modeled before, but she was working it like a pro for my camera this day.  Her mom Linda did her hair for the shoot and Cindy Pham from Blush and Co. did her makeup.  Thanks ladies for helping me create amazing pics!  Check back soon to see the photos from the wedding!

      Best DJ ever!!!

DJ Gracie Chavez is the best!  I’ve known Gracie for years now.  She is a veteran of the Houston DJ music scene.   She asked me to help her with her promo photos she needed for www.scratch-events.com.  Scratch is a nationwide network of select DJ’s who play for leading brands and notable client events.  I’m so happy that she was able to be a part of my event….my wedding.  She DJ’d throughout the ceremony and  reception.  I wanted something different from the normal wedding songs and wanted her to play something that was modern and unique to fit the style of our wedding.  I found modern and classic songs that were recorded by a string quartet and she played these during the ceremony.  Everyone is still talking about how cool our ceremony was.  Everything she played was perfect!  Everyone was on the dance floor all night long.  It was so much fun!  Gracie is one of the sweetest and coolest chicas I know.   I’m so glad she was a part of my special day.  She is the perfect act with a pedigree heavy enough to handle any party.  Check her out a www.facebook.com/graciechavez.  Thanks girl!

      Marissa’s Baby Bump Session

I was so excited to hear that my good friend Marissa was expecting!  I’ve known Marissa since high school.  We played volleyball together at Cy-Fair H.S.  I knew she would make the cutiest mom one day and now she is on her way.   You might recognize her husband Chad.  He played one of the football players in Friday Night Lights the movie and tv series and was also in The Express.  He is super sweet and they make an awesome couple and I’m so happy for them.  They definitely have a lil’ baller growing inside them.  Marrisa and Chad are both incredible athletes, so I’m sure their lil’ one will follow in their steps one day.  I wish you both the very best and I can’t wait to see meet your little bundle of joy.
